Section 2 – Website operator and service providers
- The website is owned and operated by Japan Motor Import, which is responsible for listings, pricing, customer communications, and order fulfillment.
- Stripe processes card and Apple Pay payments. Hosting, email, and shipping partners receive information only as needed to provide their services. We never store full card numbers.
- We are an independent business — not a franchise, subsidiary, or authorized dealer of any manufacturer or OEM.
What we do
- Sell used JDM engines, transmissions, front clips and nose cuts, RHD vehicles, and KDM parts, mostly imported from Japan.
- Ship across Canada and offer local pickup in Montréal-Nord, Quebec.
- Offer local installation of engines and transmissions under that service's terms.
Section 3 – Products sold and condition
- Unless stated otherwise, items are used and were removed from vehicles previously driven in Japan. Listings describe condition, mileage in kilometres where available, and compatible vehicles.
- Every engine passes a multi-point inspection and compression test. Coverage is set out in the Warranty Policy.
- Legal warranty: Quebec consumers keep the legal warranty under the Consumer Protection Act (sections 37 and 38), which applies to used goods and cannot be excluded by contract. Consumers in other provinces keep their own statutory protections.
- Full condition, fitment, mileage, emissions, and RHD disclosures are in the Disclaimer.
Section 4 – Intellectual property
- All original content — product descriptions, photographs, page layouts, graphics, and the Japan Motor Import name and logo — belongs to Japan Motor Import and is protected under Canadian copyright and trademark law, including the Copyright Act.
- You may view, download, and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. Reproduction, distribution, or modification requires our prior written permission.
- Scraping or harvesting product data, prices, or images with bots or scripts is prohibited without written authorization. Search engines indexing in accordance with robots.txt are excepted.
Section 5 – Third-party trademarks
- Brand names appearing on the site — including Honda, Acura, Toyota, Lexus, Scion, Nissan, Infiniti, Subaru, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis — are trademarks of their respective owners.
- They are used only to identify vehicle fitment or origin and imply no affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement.
Section 6 – Governing law and jurisdiction
- This notice and all transactions are governed by the laws of Quebec and applicable federal laws of Canada. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
- Business customers: unresolved disputes are submitted to the courts of the judicial district of Montréal.
- Consumers: your provincial consumer protections and your right to go to court (including the Small Claims Division of the Court of Québec) are preserved.
- No forced arbitration: consumers are not required to arbitrate; access to courts and class actions is not restricted.
- Severability: if any provision is held invalid, the rest of the notice remains in effect.
Section 7 – Your consumer rights
Rights that cannot be waived apply in full regardless of anything in our policies.
