Japan Motor Import does not sell your personal information. This page explains how we share information, what choices you have, and how to withdraw your consent to optional uses.

Section 1 – Our position
Japan Motor Import does not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and does not sell customer lists. We share information with service providers — such as shipping carriers and payment processors — only so they can perform services for us, under agreements that prohibit them from using it for their own purposes.
Under Canadian privacy law we rely on consent. Uses not needed to process your order — marketing messages, analytics or advertising technologies — are optional, and you may decline or withdraw consent at any time.

Section 3 – Your choices
- Marketing emails: use the unsubscribe link in any email. Processed within 10 business days, per Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
- Text messages: reply STOP to any marketing text.
- Analytics and advertising technologies: off by default; activated only with your agreement. Withdraw consent at any time as described in our Cookie Policy.
- Other optional uses or sharing: submit a request (Section 4) and we will stop it.
Section 4 – How to make a request
- Email: japanmotorimport@gmail.com — subject "Do Not Sell or Share – [Your Full Name]"; include your name, the email you use with us, and your province.
- Phone: 514-369-3330 during business hours.
- Mail: write to the Privacy Officer at the address below.
Section 5 – What happens next
- Identity confirmation: we match your details against our records and ask only for what is necessary.
- Action: we act on your request and notify our service providers where needed.
- Written reply: we respond in writing within 30 days, confirming the changes.
If withdrawing consent would prevent us from completing an order (for example, a carrier needs your address), we explain this before acting.
Section 6 – Requests made on your behalf
A legal representative, or a person with parental authority for a minor, may make a request for you. We may ask for proof of their authority and confirm the request with you directly.
Section 7 – Your other privacy rights
You may request access to or correction of your information, a portable copy of the computerized information you provided, or that we stop disseminating it where the law allows. All requests receive a response within 30 days. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Section 8 – Complaints
If you are unsatisfied with our response, contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or, outside Quebec, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Our Privacy Officer handles privacy requests. Requests received through any channel receive the same care and timelines.
