Payment policy

We ship across Canada and offer local pickup at our Montreal-Nord warehouse. This policy covers payment from the moment you add a part to your cart through confirmation and any refund.

Phone and in-person buyers should confirm available methods with us. We will never ask you to pay by gift card.

1. Add to cart — choose the part and review condition, mileage, and fitment.
2. Choose how much to pay now — in full, a deposit, or a reservation fee.
3. Choose delivery or pickup — enter a Canadian address or select warehouse pickup.
4. Review your order — items, shipping, taxes, total, and the amount due now.
5. Pay securely — card details go directly to Stripe, never to our servers.
6. Confirmation — a confirmation page and email with your order number and invoice.

• Pay in Full: the whole order total (items, shipping, taxes).
• Deposit (40%): pay 40% now; balance due before shipping or at pickup. Pay the balance online via the link in your order email or on the Find My Order page.
• Reserve ($450.00): holds one item for 3 weeks. Non-refundable, but applied to the item price if you complete the purchase; otherwise the item may be released for sale.
• Cash / Pay on Pickup ($20.00 deposit): a $20.00 card deposit reserves an order to be paid in cash at pickup. Non-refundable if the order is cancelled or not collected without a legal reason.
• Cancellations: deposits and reservation fees are non-refundable for cancellations without a legal reason. They are refunded in full if we cancel, cannot supply the item, or a legal right applies. See the Cancellation Policy.

The entire site, including checkout, uses HTTPS encryption. Cards are processed by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified provider; we never see or store full card numbers or security codes. Your card issuer may require confirmation in its app or by one-time code. Payments may be declined if billing details do not match.

Prices

• Listed prices cover the item only; shipping and taxes are shown at checkout.
• Unless stated otherwise, engine prices cover the long block (cylinder head and short block). Accessories left attached for testing are included at no charge, per the Warranty Policy.
• The price at the time you place your order is the price you pay. If there is an obvious pricing error, we contact you before shipping and offer the correct price or a full refund.

Sales taxes

• Quebec orders (delivery or warehouse pickup): GST (5%) and QST (9.975%).
• Other provinces and territories: the taxes shown at checkout apply.
• All taxes are itemized at checkout and on your invoice.
• Resellers: email your tax registration or exemption documents before ordering; exemptions cannot be applied to completed orders.

A confirmation email with your order number, items, amounts, and our contact details is sent after successful payment — keep it as your record of the contract. If it does not arrive within 30 minutes, check spam, then contact us. Orders are subject to stock verification and fraud review; if we cannot fulfil an order it is cancelled with a full refund. Signed-in customers can view orders and invoices in their account.

• Approved refunds go to the original payment method.
• Quebec Consumer Protection Act cancellations: all amounts paid refunded within 15 days.
• Other approved refunds: issued within 5 to 10 business days of approval.
• Bank timing: card refunds usually appear within 5 to 10 business days after issue.

Orders flagged by our processor may be held while we confirm by phone or email. High-value orders may require photo ID and proof of billing address, kept no longer than needed; orders not verified within 48 hours may be cancelled and refunded. Orders to freight forwarders or reshipping services may be declined. The person collecting a pickup may be asked for photo ID matching the order name.

Charges appear as Japan Motor Import or a similar descriptor. For an unrecognized charge, email us with your name, the last four digits of your card, the amount, and the date — we respond within 1 to 2 business days. For unauthorized use of your card, contact your card issuer immediately. Quebec consumers: if a valid distance-contract cancellation is not refunded and you paid by credit card, you may ask your card issuer to reverse the charges within 60 days of our default (section 54.14 of the Consumer Protection Act).

Can I pay in instalments?

Choose the 40% deposit or $450.00 reservation fee at checkout; the balance is due before shipping or at pickup. We do not offer in-house financing.

Why was my card declined?

Common causes: insufficient funds, billing address mismatch, online purchases blocked by your bank, daily limits, or bank fraud checks. Banks do not tell us the reason. Check your billing address, contact your bank, or try another card.

Can I change my payment method after ordering?

Not once payment is captured. If the order has not shipped, we can cancel it so you can reorder.

Do you offer pricing for garages and dealers?

Yes, for volume buyers. Contact us by email or phone; business pricing and terms are agreed separately.
