Do not sell or share my personal information

Section 1 – Our position

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not sell customer lists. We share information with service providers, such as shipping carriers and payment processors, only so they can provide services to us, under agreements that prevent them from using it for their own purposes.

Under Canadian privacy law, we rely on your consent. Uses that are not needed to process your order, such as marketing messages and analytics or advertising technologies, are optional, and you can say no or withdraw your consent at any time.

• Marketing emails: click “unsubscribe” in any email. We process requests within 10 business days, as required by Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
• Text messages: reply “STOP” to any marketing text message.
• Analytics and advertising technologies: these are off by default and only activated with your agreement. You can withdraw consent at any time, as explained in our Cookie Policy.
• Any other optional use or sharing: send us a request (Section 4) and we will stop it.

Section 4 – How to make a request

• Email: japanmotorimport@gmail.com with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share – [Your Full Name]”. Include your name, the email address you use with us, and your province.
• Phone: call 514-369-3330 during business hours.
• Mail: write to the Privacy Officer at the address below.

Section 5 – What happens next

1. We confirm your identity by matching the details you give us against our records, asking only for what is necessary.
2. We act on your request and tell our service providers where needed.
3. We reply in writing within 30 days, confirming what we changed.

If withdrawing consent would prevent us from completing an order, for example because a carrier needs your address, we will explain this before acting.

Section 6 – Requests made on your behalf

Someone else may make a request for you, such as your legal representative or, for a minor, a person with parental authority. We may ask for proof of their authority and confirm the request with you directly.

Section 7 – Your other privacy rights

You can also ask to access or correct your information, receive a portable copy of the computerized information you gave us, or ask us to stop disseminating it in the situations set out by law. We respond to all requests within 30 days.
